The Common Ground Collective

Common Ground's mission is to provide short term relief for victims of hurricane disasters in the gulf coast region, and long term support in rebuilding the communities affected in the New Orleans area. Common Ground is a community-initiated volunteer organization offering assistance, mutual aid and support. The work gives hope to communities by working with them, providing for their immediate needs and emphasizes people working together to rebuild their lives in sustainable ways.
Jewish Funds for Justice

Jewish Funds for Justice (JFSJ) is a public foundation established through the merger of The Shefa Fund and Jewish Fund for Justice. After nearly two decades of achievements as allies in anti-poverty and social justice work, the organizations joined together in 2006 with a shared commitment to build a powerful Jewish justice movement. Through our grantmaking programs, we provide technical assistance to grassroots organizations of low-income people from all backgrounds and faiths. We also educate the Jewish community about poverty issues and the importance of developing community-based, social justice partnerships.
Registries
We are registered at three stores. Viva Terra and Global Exchange are stores that we chose for their socially responsible products-- the goods from their stores are either fair trade goods made under decent working conditions, environmentally sound/organic, or both.
